Spectrum Signs and Lettering was established in 2014 and is approaching its 10-year milestone. Mary-Lou and Larry initiated the sign company with a 15” printer and cutter. Initially focusing on vinyl and decals, Spectrum Signs and Lettering began as a small operation while Larry maintained a full-time job. After nine years, the company acquired its first commercial space in 2023. Despite lacking formal sign industry expertise, Mary-Lou and Larry bridged the knowledge gap through deep immersion in the business.

Before venturing into the sign business, Mary-Lou spent 28 years at Northampton County's clerk of courts, while Larry had a background in healthcare and holds degrees in auto technology and fire science. Larry dedicated 30 years to the Blue Valley Rescue Squad and another 30 years to the Columbia Fire Company, and in Roseto remains an active volunteer.

With a commitment to community service, Mary-Lou and Larry expanded their reach by establishing PA Pack and Ship, incorporating a FedEx shipping center into their business to address the absence of such services in Bangor.
